The Courage to Leap
90 Days to Skyrocket Your Confidence
Mastermind
How long have you been doing what you do, and how did you become an Empowerment & Accountability Coach?
To answer this question, it’s probably best that I share with you a defining moment, and a resulting “compelling story”, that brought me to where I am today – coaching people like you on exactly what to do to become fully empowered to make bold authentic choices and live the life of your dreams.
I vividly remember my very first therapy session at the ripe old age of 7 years old. Except, I wasn’t the patient as one might assume. No, rather I was the counselor to another 7-year-old girl who was upset and crying on the playground, well, it was actually a grassy field across the street, because she was being bullied. I will never forget that day. You see, one of the things I recall this little girl saying is, “what will they say about me, all of the girls are going to talk about me.” And, It was as if I was having an out of body experience. I told her that they are going to talk about you when you’re doing well and when you are not, so you might as well just live your life. Whoa! Who said that? I knew then and there that I had a special calling in life…
Growing up I was always the person that my all my family and friends came to for support, clarity and truth. You know that person? I was that girl. I just had a knack for telling it like it was enough to open up someone’s eyes. I kind of developed a reputation for that, very early. Yet, I also had enough compassion that they never felt judged or attacked. So, when it came time to choose a major for college, naturally I gravitated toward psychology.
During my studies, I quickly realized that I disagreed with the deficit model that clinical psychology was trying to teach. It seemed ridiculous to me to spend so much time digging in someone’s past for years, with so little evidence that it made any difference. After all, 90% of all problems were tied to mom, God or religion, or sex. Once you figure it out, then what? Everyone walked around talking about pathology in other human beings for sport and challenging us to see ordinary suffering and responses to suffering as if they were abnormal and needed treatment. It just wasn’t for me. Now, I am not saying all therapists are bad; I don’t believe that. Some of my best friends are therapists. I do believe that clinical psychologists often encourage backward-looking more than forward movement. This back-digging could go on for 5, 10, 20 years, trying to figure out all the reasons as to why people are the way they are. It has always made far more sense to me to help people accept the present and move forward from where they are today to where they want to be. We build our future in what happens in the NOW. I mean, if you have a splinter in your finger, do you really care how long it’s been there, what color it is, or where it came from? No! You just want to grab the tweezers and rip that thing out, right?! I did not want to spend months or in some cases, years looking for what was wrong with people; I KNEW in my heart of hearts that people were already innately whole and therefore simply needed guidance, support and encouragement to move forward and begin to create anew.
I worked as a researcher throughout graduate school and received a Ph.D. in social psychology in 2001, and soon after, I was hired as a full-time researcher crunching numbers for 40 plus hours a week. I worked for very reputable companies, and while I was grateful for the fantastic opportunities and making 6 figures, I was bored out of my mind and felt utterly unfulfilled. And not only did I know that I was a circle trying to fit in a square system, but all of my colleagues also knew it. I recall one day, a relationship brawl broke-out on my floor, my director came into my office, closed the door, and asked, “what is going on in my office and what should I do about it.” I was 24. Story after story like this happened at every single job. My office ended up being that space where people came to pour out and get support. I was talking to supervisors and supervisees. It became a ‘thing.’ After a while; I began to mention this in my job interviews to prepare the team for the possibility that my people skills often meant that a lot of people in my office. That was my stated weakness. Hiring supervisors thought it was cute, and they didn’t get it until they got it. Deep within my soul, I felt a strong calling to help people more profoundly than on the side in a corporate office. That’s when I learned about coaching.
I got certified as a life coach in 2004 and I was so excited. I had found my people! Moreover, I had been given language and tools to help other folks who were stuck, like I had been, unstuck. I could relate to folks feeling unsatisfied in a life that looked like they should just shut up and not complain. After all, I had the money, house, husband, three children, no dog, but we went to church, and I was still working daily and coming home emotionally depleted. After so many years, my work didn’t fulfill me, and I didn’t grow into it. And while I made good money, I spent far too much time at work, not to be excited about my being there. So, I opened a private coaching practice in 2008, and by the end of the year, the market crash decimated my business.
Then I got what I thought was a lucky break- I re-careered. Finally, I found a profession that could value coaching, empathy, and my amazing people skills. I went into higher education and was able to connect with wonderful people. My team was excellent, and it was a far more stimulating and engaging environment. It was definitely a better fit for me. And as expected, I was able to put my coaching to work immediately. After about 4-years on the job, I took leave to take care of a family member. When I returned, my supervisor was fired, and there were other significant leadership changes that led to gross organizational dysfunction, sexism, ageism, and cronyism. To add to that, my marriage experienced major shifts and all of this almost sent me into an emotional break. It was dreadful.
Like many life lessons, you learn that the darkest part of night is just before day. I picked myself up and committed to dedicate my practice to helping professional women transform their lives by making bold decisions to manifest personal and professional freedom. I started teaching women professionals and entrepreneurs how they can do the same: I watched them realize their dreams, and because I am an empath, that was so fulfilling to me! When I see clients achieve massive success, it’s like a RUNNERS HIGH! They become more fulfilled and free. The accumulation of money is a bonus, and almost always follows, even if that’s not the intention. Developing discipline and personal accountability leads to personal and professional mastery.
Since then, I’ve worked with many private clients, spoken in front of countless groups: I lived my dream of only working only with the clients when I want, traveling in my business, and hosting retreats in beautiful locations I have created The Courage to Leap in 90 Days for Personal and Professional Mastery and outer business-building steps every coach, consultant, healer or sole practitioner to take quick actions necessary to see the results in clients professional and personal lives. You’ll start seeing results the moment you start taking action.

What makes you different from other success?
I have a system that emphasizes that “action creates confidence” through the use of empowerment techniques and accountability practices. Although we will occasionally touch upon time management and other “business coach-y” things, you have me as an empowerment and accountability coach. I work on research-based proven inner and outer principles for success and will support your business and personal life to challenge you to weed out any potential blocks to your success. That means that as we pursue your bold goals, we may bump into some of the personal junk along the way. But dealing with that is often the only way through to a breakthrough. Seldom is it all one thing or another. Humans are complicated, and that means you and me. What that means to you is that I will be honest and push you to do the same. I am a spiritual person and will not hide that from you, nor will I force it upon you. I’m trained in Reiki, and believe in prayer. Those things keep me grounded and authentic.
I’m concerned with how to get you to gain The Courage to Leap into Mastery of your personal and professional life in 90 days. I have a subtle style, but I will not hesitate to give you straight talk. I’ll share information that you need and give you resources to offer guidance. Even when things come out a little punchy, know that I will always be in this with you and for you. And, you’ll always get straight talk and the truth from me. I like to have fun, so we’ll have a good time while getting things done.
What type of personality do you work best with and what is expected of me?
The Courage to Leap in 90 Days workshops, products and programs were created for people who are excited and dead serious about _taking bold steps to change their lives personally and professionally – it means not running around all day long, beating yourself up anymore saying: “I can’t believe that I haven’t done this yet, I should be farther along by now.” My team has created systems that will eventually lead you to success, sometimes in weeks, not months. You must act. And, if you jump in; act, you will.
As a professional woman who has worked in non-profit, corporate, higher education, and real estate, I’m known to work best with other professional women who are driven creatives. People who are committed to their success no matter – what are super-ready to get going and just want to know exactly what steps to take to personal and professional lives to the next level in The Courage to Leap in 90 Days. My clients often tell me – “I think I know what I want to do; I just want you to help me to be accountable to get it done!” That will no longer be your narrative!
Consider what you’ll do with me to be a high-octane crash course on everything you need to know to expand and up-level your personal and professional life. You will be expected to take serious and consistent action. No excuses anymore, just a very different way of thinking and full support while achieving this inspiring goal: personal and professional mastery, because they are inextricably linked.
For what type of professionals are your programs NOT going to work?
Please know I’m very selective about who I work with, and I cherry-pick my clients, choosing to (gently) turn away people who aren’t suited for my programs and won’t get the results they have signed up for. (It wouldn’t be fair to them.) The Courage to Leap in 90 Days programs are NOT for those who have no money coming in and are financially desperate, at least not right away. It’s been my experience that people in financial crises do not trust the recommendations I give them and do not do the work (probably because they spend so much time worrying about where they will get next month’s rent check or mortgage payment.) If you fall within this category, it’s OK. We’ve all been in times of financial crisis at one point or another. Do yourself (3) favors:
- Get some money coming in with a full-time or part-time job at the very least, and then call me. This will take the edge off and provide a little more peace of mind. It will mostly de-clutter your mind enough to focus on your “ The Courage to Leap in 90 Days” assignments and the BIG picture. Once you start seeing results which will be a result of you doing the work that we create, the hope is that you will start to generate enough momentum to focus the dream that you’ve put on hold for years and years and maybe even leave your job and focus on your dream including your own practice.
- Sign up for more free information at info.drsis.com or follow me on fb @drsis or IG @drsislena where I do free lives frequently. You may also email me at sislena@drsis.com}. The free information will get you started towards your goals until you’re ready to work with me one-on-one.
- Make a point to watch my videos with weekly tips on drsis.com or on fb. The tips will give you LOTS to think about.
Doing these three things will help you get primed for our work. When you’re ready, call me and we’ll get you started. (I’m in no rush and will be here when you need me.) There is another crucial point that I’d like to emphasize; I won’t work with (without exception) whiners or the chronic skeptic, or individuals who consistently make excuses for not getting their assignments done or challenging every aspect of the program. If you are one of these people, I gently and respectfully ask that you not call, and I hope you understand why. We’ll probably just not work well together and would waste your time and investment. I don’t think that’s fair to you. Is that a fair assumption?
What exactly is The Courage to Leap in 90 Days and what does it include?
The Courage to Leap in 90 Days begins with identifying your value systems and identifying how they align with your stated goals. You will learn to recapture your own value system and harness the power that that self-discovery brings. Your desire to master your personal and professional life will almost always evolve from shifting your actions or habits, leading to an increase in money, even if money is not the intended desire. It’s the law of hypnotic rhythm or synchronicity.
Here’s what the system gets you to do:
- Identify and Clarity
The system begins with identifying and clarifying your dream life and the goals that will get you there, defining and committing to your stated values, determining if your values are in alignment with your life goals, exploring the seat of your power or lack of power.
- Address energy leaks
If you notice, I stress the importance of the environment. Your behavior is impacted by everything from the food you eat to your environment. We will address your energy leaks and learn how to address them to remove unnecessary distractions that stand in the way of you getting the results you want.
- Create Powerful intentions
I’ve helped so many clients reach what they would consider miracles because they set powerful intentions, leading to powerful manifesting. This work is not about visioning, as much as it’s about setting intentions, acting, and expecting the results to happen. For clients, this includes but is not limited to money, books, promotions, new jobs, better relationships. The cost of not doing this part is too costly to capture. It’s about getting the results you want.
- Accountability
This is a crucial part of my system. I call it the weight watchers’ effect. Most people do what they say they are going to do if they have to face the scale. We don’t have a scale, but you will be expected to have an accountability team to which you are accountable. Become more accountable will help discover how powerful accountability is in getting you to get things done. You will have regularly schedule meeting with your partners and me.
- Inner work
You’ll learn about your ego and take an evidence-based personality inventory to gain deeper insights into how you show up in the world and how to use that information as a tool that empowers you to make a change. Many of my clients are heart-centered introverts (some extroverts sprinkled in) who are not comfortable asking for help and often have only a few people in their circle that they trust with their idea or “baby.” They are usually not even in touch with why they have retreated into themselves for decades without doing what they were put on this earth to do!
- Focus
For 90 days, this program will request that you do the work to help you expand your personal and professional mastery and brand. Focus is critical, particularly for the heart-centered creatives who have many talents, ideas, and things that they want to do. They should do everything that they want to do, but not all at the same time. Helping clients focus is a key component in taking specific and meaningful action toward their goals. We’ll focus on habits and goals.
- Systems
After gathering all of this information and insights will be unique, but knowing all that you know will mean very little if you don’t have a system to help you consistently structure your actions. Well developed systems matter. Not all of my clients hire me to make more money, but many of them do. A good system covers a multitude of failures. I will connect you with team members to ensure that you have tools and techniques to up-level your offering. Many of the ones that are out there, you already know about…but you have to take action. I’ll show you how.
- Fun & Celebration
We infuse fun into every area as much as possible. On your way to becoming more fabulous, of course, you should have BIG fun. It’s a prerequisite to keeping the energy positive and high. We are also prone to taking action when we are walking in light and fun. Being boring is heavy. So, we won’t be bored. But, we will get things done. And it will feel INCREDIBLE!
Does this really work?
Yes! The result of our work is an approach to shifting your mindset and choosing action. Feel your fear, negativity, insecurity and take action anyway. Hey, what can I say, I am a psychologist; so, I want to see you succeed, and I understand the mind games that we play on and with ourselves to keep us stuck. They are neither productive nor useful. Stagnation, stuckness, lack of productivity, and procrastination are huge time wasters. The Courage to Leap will get you moving past your blocks FAST so that you can live a life of personal and professional mastery (See Testimonials) below.
Here are some client written testimonials
As a result of working with Dr. Sis I was able to flow into the shifting of writing and getting my book published. I have a few testimonials!
I have concluded that I have an overarching singular purpose and that I should focus on that one purpose – writing my book.
Working with Dr. Sis has helped me expand my thinking that every perspective is not about me.
I was able to see things from the perspective of others and not my own narrow view. I’m continuing to work on the introvert within me to pause, evaluate, consider and respond/reflect as needed
I’ve become more committed to an awareness of myself without negative feelings or thoughts. We’ve practiced self awareness, self love and self care in our “homework” sessions as a result of our affirmations and discussions.
